Can I copy passwords from a Windows 2000 Native domain to another Windows 2000 domain if the domains are NOT in the same Forest?

fix
INTERforest migration
Domain Migration Administrator (DMA) 7.2 allows you to copy user account passwords for accounts from windows 2000 or later, native-mode source domains to a Windows 2000 or later domain in a different forest. This feature is not available in earlier versions of DMA.
INTRAforest migration
DMA 7.x can copy passwords from a Windows 2000 Native domain to a Windows 2000 domain if the domains are within the same Forest. This is true for intraforest migrations because the migration process uses an object move operation. Also, the GUID is preserved in an intraforest move.
To clarify even further:
DMA does not require a Windows NT 4 BDC to be available when migrating passwords for an INTRAforest migration from a Windows 2000 mixed mode or native mode domain to a Windows 2000 domain.
note
To migrate passwords properly for an INTRAforest migration, do not use the Select Migration Settings Wizard. Instead, use the Migrate User Account Wizard.
