Resolution

goal
What user account properties are cached by Directory and Resource Administrator when managing a Windows 2000 domain?

fact
Directory and Resource Administrator 6.x

fix
The following user account properties are cached by the Administration server during an Accounts Cache Refresh a Windows 2000 domain's Active Directory:
  • cn
  • Description
  • distinguishedName
  • name
  • objectSid
  • sAMAccountName
  • UserAccountControls (certain flags such as User must change password at next logon and Password never expires)

This information is also documented in the Directory and Resource Administrator (DRA) Software Development Kit (SDK).

NOTE: Directory and Resource Administrator, version 6.3, includes the SDK with the installation files. The installation directory contains an executable called AdminSDK.exe. Double-clicking on this file will install the SDK.
