Resolution
The Directory and Resource Administration (DRA) Server configuration requirements which must be met before enabling support for Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 mailbox properties:
- Valid DRA license key with the Exchange module enabled
- Microsoft Exchange System Manager installed on the DRA server
- DRA Server service account or override account
- Defined as an Exchange Full Administrator in the Exchange organization for that domain
- Is a member of either Account Operators local group or the Exchange Domain Servers global group for Exchange 2000
- Is a member of Account Operators local group for Exchange 2003
After satisfying the above requirements, based on your version of DRA, perform one of the following procedures to enable Exchange Administration.
To enable the Exchange Administration module if you are using Directory and Resource Administrator 7.x or later, complete the following steps:
- Launch the Delegation and Configuration Management console while logged on as an Assistant Admin with, at minimum, the DRA Administration Role.
- Select Policy and Automation Management node.
- Select Configure Exchange Policies.
- Select Exchange 2000 or later.
- Select the check box for Enable Exchange 2000 or later Administration support.
- Click OK.
- Restart the NetIQ Administration Service to enable Exchange 2000/2003 support.
To enable the Exchange Administration module if you are using Directory and Resource Administrator 6.50 or 6.60, use the following procedure:
- Launch the NetIQ Administration MMC while logged on as an Assistant Admin with, at minimum, the Built-in Configuration Role.
- In the MMC, expand Policy and automation management.
- Select Exchange Policy.
- Select Exchange 2000 Configuration Rules.
- Select the check box for Enable Exchange 2000 Administration support.
- Click OK.
- Restart the MCS OnePoint Administration service to enable Exchange 2000/2003 support.
