fix

To add a member server to be managed by the NetIQ Administration server:

  1. Launch the Directory and Resource Administrator MMC interface.
  2. Expand Configuration snap-in node.
  3. Click on Managed and trusted domains.
  4. Click the Add button at the top of the right-hand pane.
  5. In the Managed Domain or Computer, enter the NetBIOS name of the server to be managed in the \\servername format.
  6. Select the appropriate radio button to either use the current NetIQ Administration service account or to specify an override account to manage the computer.
  7. If using an override account, specify the account in the domain_name\account format and specify the password.
  8. As a timesaving option, clear the check box for Refresh the domain cache after adding the managed domain. This check box is selected by default and is a recommended option.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Press the F5 key to refresh the screen and verify that, after the caching of that machine's local security database is complete, the member server now appears in the managed list.
