Quality of Service (QoS)

Situation

How do I set 802.1p QoS prioritization to Vivinet Assessor traffic?

Resolution

Vivinet Assessor allows for the use of 802.1p prioritization to traffic by creating QoS definitions and then by applying those templates to the call scripts.

To create the QoS definitions, follow these steps:

  1. On the left toolbar select Assess VoIP Quality.
  2. From the menu select Options | QoS Definitions.
  3. Click Add | 802.1p Definition.
  4. Give your definition a name and assign the priority, and click OK.

To assign the QoS to your Call Script, follow these steps:

  1. On the left toolbar select Assess VoIP Quality.
  2. From the menu select Options | Call Scripts.
  3. Either modify an existing Call Script you created or click Add.
  4. In the Edit a Call Script dialog, hit the drop down arrow for QoS name and select the QoS Definition you created above.
