Situation
When troubleshooting an Android issue, support may request a
zapp.log from the device. The exact steps for gathering the
log may vary slightly between device models. In general, the
following steps can be used to retrieve the zapp.log from an
Android device.
Resolution
- The administrator must approve a file manager application within the Android Enterprise Subscription to view files on the device. Many free file manager applications are available.
- Assign that file manager application bundle approved by the administrator to the device in question so it appears within the work profile on the device itself.
- Within the file manager application of your choice, navigate to:

- Internal storage/Android/data/com.novell.zapp/files/documents/zapp.log
- After reproducing the issue at hand, gather this log from the device to send to support for further investigation
