Situation

While performing a migration from SMG on Ubuntu to SMG on SLES using these instructions, on step # 9, receive the following error:

"Unable to connect to database server on the replacement appliance. You must configure the database server on the replacement appliance to allow remote connection from x.x.x.x."


Resolution

On step # 9, make sure to enter the /24 or /16 that matches the subnet being used, as shown in this example:
