Environment

iPrint Appliance 4.1.3
Open Enterprise Server 2018 SP3

Situation

iPrint printers cannot be installed to Apple Macbooks with the M1 chip. After clicking the link to install the printer, the iPrint install dialog pops up and auto closes.  No error message is presented.

When trying to install a printer using iprntcmd, the process also fails with no message.

The Apache Access Log /var/log/apache2/access_log shows:
"POST /ipp/NameOfiPrintPrinter HTTP/1.1" 426 385
"OPTIONS /iprint/ipp/NameOfiPrintPrinter HTTP/1.1" 200 - "-" "CUPS/2.2.5 (Darwin 17.7.0; x86_64) IPP/2.0"

Notice the end of this message. The request is coming in as IPP version 2.0.

Resolution

Mac client support on Apple M1 is in the iPrint roadmap and it will be prioritized post OES2018SP3 release. Mac client 6.15 is compatible for Intel based Mac Big Sur and not M1 chip based.
