Unable to access appliance console at port 9443 after certificate expires

Environment

Common Appliance Framework (CAF)
Advanced Authentication Appliance Console (port 9443)
Self Service Password Reset Appliance (port 9443)

Situation

Unable to access the appliance at port 9443 after certificate expires
NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID
Certificate error when going to appliance page for Advanced Authentication Appliance Console (port 9443)
Certificate error when going to appliance page for Self Service Password Reset Appliance (port 9443)


Resolution

Open a call with Micro Focus Support.  They have a script (generate_appliance_cert.sh) that will create a self-signed certificate and make it the active cert.  This will bring the Appliance Console to the same condition it was in when initially installed.

Copy the script to the server and run it the server console with the following command:
bash generate_appliance_cert.sh 
If prompted to overwrite an existing self-signed certificate, type "y" for yes.  See screenshot below for deails.
