WebAccess not available outside the firewall after upgrading SLES server

Environment

GroupWise 18

Situation

WebAccess works internally but not externally.

The POA port 1677 is available internally but not externally.

The SLES server firewall is disabled and the hardware firewall is configured properly.

The physical server has bonded NIC's.  See https://documentation.suse.com/sle-ha/12-SP5/html/SLE-HA-all/cha-ha-netbonding.html

The only change made was the SUSE server was upgraded from SLES12 SP3 to SP4 or from SP4 to SP5.

Resolution

Somehow during the SP upgrade, the bonding configuration became partially corrupted by allowing internal traffic to work but not external.

Deleting the network configuration on server and simply recreating it resolved the issue immediately.
