Situation
Although this feature was never officially supported, Filr versions starting from Filr 4.1.1 allowed external users access to the Filr desktop application.
The Filr 4.2 download page (if enabled) is shown only for LDAP and internal Filr users. External users have only the "Share With Me" folder.
How can external users get the Filr desktop client?
Resolution
Workaround:
Edit the e-mail template (Path: Port 8443 Filr Admin Console > System > Email Templates) to include a download link, such as:

- Replace "filr.mycompany.com" with the DNS name of your Filr appliance or reverse proxy, as appropriate.
- Edit the file name, if needed. For example, if the Client is 4.3, change the reference to "MicroFocusFilrSetup-x64-4.3.exe", etc.
