Stuck on the 2020 Licensing page during the 2017.x Appliance Migration to the 2020 Appliance

ZENworks Configuration Management 2020


This situation only applies to the 2017.x appliance migration to the 2020 appliance. ZENworks 2020 Individual Product license keys were used. 

After the disk(s) have been added from 2017 appliance to the 2020 appliance and the 2020 appliance server has been started and the appliance console (9443) has been logged into. With the migration wizard on the page where the license keys are requested, after entering them and having clicked "Finish" it does not continue or move on in the process.

If  the "Inspect" or developer tool  is used to analyze page content, the following error message may be seen:
"Failed to load resource: the server jquery-ui.js:1 responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)"

Note: the error message above does little in identifying the actual cause.


The below workarounds can applied if the stuck licensing page is still currently displayed. If the appliance has previously shut down with the condition, start it again to reach the same page. If you no longer have the 2020 appliance with disks from 2017, earlier steps will need to be repeated to reach the same point:

1. Switch FDE License from "Deactivate" to "Evaluate". Should not require evaluation key.


2. Contact Support and request an engineer to remote in to bypass via a method that requires internal information
