Situation

XLSX files are being seen as a zip, when enabled on the Fingerprint filter. How can .xlsx files being allowed in, but still be able to block zips on the Fingerprint filter?

Resolution

Fingerprinting looks at the file itself rather than the file name, when scanning attachments. The xlsx attachment looks like a zip when this scan is done. Here is a way to allow xlsx files in, so that fingerprinting can still block zips.

1) On the policy workbench, Filter tab drag down a new attachment name filter (separate from the existing one, ignore the warning that one already exists). Click on the icon on the left to edit it and add *.xlsx.

2)  Drag the orange dot to the white space and let go, then choose the block service. Ignore the warning that one already exists.

3) Click on the arrows pointing down and choose 'Force service off'.
4) Click on the save disk, to save changes.

Now, messages with a .xlsx attachment will not get blocked.
