Appliance migration fails because of invalid hostname

ZENworks Configuration Management 2020 Migration

Situation

Zenworks 2017 appliance was setup with a hostname starting with a number. During the migration to Zenworks 2020 at an early stage an error message popup:

"A valid server hostname cannot start with a number."


Resolution

Report to engineering.
