Reflection Desktop does not load when deployed as a Published Windows application

Environment

Reflection Desktop (including Pro, for X, for IBM, or for UNIX and OpenVMS) 16.0 or higher

Situation

Reflection Desktop does not load when deployed as a Published Windows application and the error "The installation data associated with this product is damaged. Please reinstall the product." will appear.  If the WIXError.txt file in the users %temp% folder is examined the contents will indicate "Error 0: WIXMSItl: Bad Data doDecrypt - The operation completed successfully".

Resolution

This issue is currently being evaluated by Micro Focus Development.

Published installs via Group Policy which are published to a user configuration will fail, but Assigned installs work just fine.

The workaround is to install the Reflection Desktop software locally to avoid the issue.

Additional Information

As a comparison to Reflection for IBM 14.1 Multi-Host Professional which doesn't work either (and in fact, is worse off as the applications crash), it may be that this may not be supported.

Product Like EXTRA! don't have these issues when running the shortcuts when installed as a Published application, the product just runs.
