Unable to view PDF documents in Chrome or other browsers.

You login into some account via WebAccess and want to preview attachments. All attachment types work fine and you can preview them, but any PDF file. What you get right after rendering document pop-up window is a save prompt where you see a file name in a SOAP-ish format and the document cannot be viewed.


Check following settings on your Chrome browser:

Settings -> Advance Settings -> Site Settings -> PDF Documents. Here is the settings "Download PDF Files instead of automatically opening them in Chrome". Set the option OFF and restart Chrome browser.

WebAccess stopped (a little while ago for GW18.1.x version) sending PDF files to the DVA for conversation. Along with PDF, other file types that the browsers can natively handle, like JPG, GIF, etc.. follow the same technique. Any file format that the browser cannot natively handle, we send it to the DVA.
