Situation
After sharing a file or folder from Filr, you receive an email message reporting an error from Google Gmail, such as:
421-4.7.0 This message does not have authentication information or fails to pass 421-4.7.0 authentication checks. To best protect our users from spam, the 421-4.7.0 message has been blocked. Please visit 421-4.7.0 https://support.google.com/mail/answer/81126#authentication for more 421 4.7.0 information. z5si7305528iog.10 - gsmtp (in reply to end of DATA command)
The Filr sharing invitation is never delivered to the recipient's Gmail address.
Resolution
Probably the simplest solution is to add an SPF record to your DNS server. Other solutions are to implement Domain Message Authenication Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) or DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM).
Cause
Google now requires additional security to ensure that email is not forged or spoofed.
