Is it possible to configure GroupWise to allow SSO to Caching Mailbox without third-party application?

Situation

Currently users have to use a 3rd party application, such as KeyShield, to  allow login to a Caching Mailbox automatically while authenticated to Active Directory in the background. The question got brought up that if it’s possible to configure GroupWise to allow SSO to Caching Mailbox without third-party application.

Resolution

It’s not possible to configure SSO authentication on a cached account without a 3rd party application.

Cause

 The cache client logs into the user DB in the cache directory and not the one in the post office ofusers directory causing SSO on a cache client to not work.
