Situation
Upgrade from eDirectory 9.0.x to 9.1.x fails with the following error message, "Credentials are incorrect, please verify and retry."
Credentials for tree admin have been verified and are correct.
Password contains one or more of the following special characters: $ & ( )
Resolution
Temporarily modify the admin password to not include special characters. Once this change is completed, re-run the eDirectory upgrade and the error should be resolved.
Cause
A defect has been raised and cause is currently under investigation.
