Errors when accessing the GW18.1 Administrator Console in Chrome or FireFox

Environment

GroupWise 18.1

Situation

When accessing the GroupWise 18.1 administrator console after the browser has been updated, the error 

ERR_SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE

or

SSL_ERROR_BAD_MAC_READ

is returned.  This is due to the update to the Java openJDK update for the browser.  Both Chrome and Firefox now default to TLS 1.3.

Resolution

The resolution for this one is to download and apply GroupWise 18.1.1.


Cause

The cause is the update to TLS v1.3 from the openJDK update.
