Situation
Attempts to create an SNA connection in Extra results in an error stating "MS SNA Server AOMFMI The client library failed to load"
Resolution
HIS 2016 will install as 32-bit on 32-bit OS’s and Microsoft provides a separate 32 bit installer that must be used to install the 32bit client on 64bit OS's.

HIS 2010 is no longer supported by Microsoft and the 32bit client standalone installer is no longer available through Microsoft .
Cause
This error is usually the result of Extra being
unable to communicate with the HIS client that is installed on a machine. EXTRA! is not finding a valid MS SNA BASE
interface. Microsoft designed the HIS SNA 2006 and newer clients to install as
64-bit on 64-bit OS's. EXTRA! Is a 32-bit application and needs the MS HIS SNA
client interface to be 32bit as well
