NullPointerException logging into ZRS Admin Appliance Console after Migration

Environment

ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Reporting Server ZRS

Situation

Logging into Admin Console during migration of ZRS showed NullPointerException.

/var/opt/novell/jetty/logs/jetty.stderrout.out had this error:

log4j:ERROR setFile(null,false) call failed.
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/novell/jetty8/logs/zrscai.log (No such file or directory)

Resolution

Ensure that the ZENworks Zone Primary server is up and reachable before logging into the appliance admin console to start the migration.
