Environment

GWAVA (Secure Messaging Gateway) 6.5

Situation

After going through the GWAVA for Vibe Installation, copying the teamGwava.jar file to its respected directory, as well as adding in the lines to the ssf-ext.properties file restarting Vibe shows the following when accessing the interface:

HTTP Status 500 - Cannot find class [org.kablink.teaming.util.SPropsUtil] for bean with name 'sPropsUtil' defined in ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/context/applicationContext.xml]; nested exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Illegal access: this web application instance has been stopped already. Could not load [org.kablink.teaming.util.SPropsUtil]. The following stack trace is thrown for debugging purposes as well as to attempt to terminate the thread which caused the illegal access.

Resolution

Go to the sff-ext.properties file (/opt/novell/teaming/apache-tomcat/webapps/ssf/WEB-INF/classes/config/) and remove the asterisks that are at the end of each of the lines. When copying over the lines directly from GWAVA, the asterisks will be copied along with them. The asterisks are there only to serve as a note in GWAVA for the installation. They will need to be removed after copying the lines over to the sff-ext.properties file.

If an older GWAVA for Vibe interface was created, be sure to recopy the lines over on the new interface to the sff-ext.properties file.
