My SMG Server Shows Ubuntu Updates are Available, How Can I Update These?

Situation

After restarting my server I see that there are some updates available for the Ubuntu server, how can I update these? Is it safe to run these updates?

Resolution

It is fine to run the Ubuntu updates for the current version 16, that you feel are needed. DO NOT UPDATE TO VERSION 18 as it will force postgres to update to version 10 and this is not supported.

To run these updates you can run this command from a prompt: sudo apt-get upgrade
