Situation

Error message: "Resource DLL could not be loaded. Setup will exit." when attempting to install Reflection Desktop 16.x.

Resolution

If you have access to the Micro Focus Support site, re-download the installation material, ensure that the file size of the downloaded file matches the file size advertised in the File information section on the Micro Focus product download page and attempt the installation again. If the problem persists please contact Micro Focus Customer Support.

Cause

This error indicates that there is something wrong with the source installation material.
