iPrint Direct stops working after applying 1803 update to Windows 10

After upgrade Windows 10 to version 1803 (also known as the Windows 10 April 2018 Update), iPrint Direct stops printing. No errors are displayed.  Print jobs show a status of Paused.


Re-install the iPrint Client

If updating the iPrint Client version (which is an install of the iPrint Client) is an option, that will also resolve the problem.  Tools such as ZCM or the iPrint Client Auto Update feature (found in /var/opt/novell/iprint/htdocs/iprint.ini) can be leveraged to help automate the upgrade or re-install process.


During the update to 1803, Microsoft is removing the iPrint Services (iprntsrv) which breaks the iPrint Direct feature.
