How to import assets into CG Agent Manager

Environment

Change Guardian 5.0

Situation

Deployed agents do not show updated information in Agent Manager.

Manually installed Windows agents do not display in Agent Manager.

How to add manually installed agents into Agent Manager.

Resolution

To add missing assets into agent manager to be monitored and updated use the instructions below.

1. Login to the CG Server and cd to /opt/netiq/cgutils/bin

2.  Run this command su novell
3.  Then run this command ./importCGAgentAssetsToAMS.sh
4.  The missing windows agent machines should now be displayed in the Agent Manager.

Cause

Manually adding the asset to the Agent Manager or manually installing the Change Guardian Agent for Windows will bypass the steps needed to correctly display the asset in the Agent Manager.
