Environment

Reflection Desktop (including Pro, for IBM, or for UNIX and OpenVMS) 16.0 or higher
Reflection 2014
Reflection Pro 2014
Reflection for IBM 2014
Reflection for UNIX and OpenVMS 2014
Reflection for IBM 2011
Reflection for UNIX and OpenVMS 2011
Reflection Standard Suite 2011

Situation

Custom settings for Reflection Desktop do not get copied from the global applications.settings file to the user application.settings file.  The contents of an application.settings file saved to the C:\ProgramData\Micro Focus\Reflection\Desktop\v16 folder will get copied to the user-specific folder, such as C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Micro Focus\Reflection\Desktop\v16 with all the standard settings, but if a custom setting is included in the C:\ProgramData... location these custom settings will not get copied over.

Resolution

Upgrade to Reflection Desktop 16.0 SP1 U1 or higher  (16.1.362)

Workaround:

Manually copy the application.settings file with the custom settings contained within it to the user directory (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Micro Focus\Reflection\Desktop\v16).
