Situation
Cannot find the "When the session starts" event in the Event Mapper, which was present in Reflection 14.
Resolution
Upgrade to Reflection Desktop 16.0 SP1 HF7 or higher. (16.0.333)
A new "When the session starts" event has been added to the Tools | Event Mapper for 3270, 5250 and VT/SSH host sessions in Reflection Desktop. This new event is basically equivalent to the "When Reflection starts" event in Reflection version 14. The event always runs when opening a host session (if it's enabled), and just before macro which is tied to the "Run a macro or other action before initial connection" setting runs. The "When Reflection starts" events will be migrated from legacy Reflection version 14 sessions, and mapped to "When Session starts" events when opening Legacy Reflection sessions in Reflection Desktop.
A HotFix (HF) for Reflection Desktop is a cumulatively built product update, intended for limited distribution, which addresses specific customer issues and enhancement requests; outside the regular Development release cycle. It is only available to Micro Focus customers with current software support and maintenance contracts, and only after contacting Micro Focus Customer Support directly. A HotFix undergoes limited stability and quality testing and is intended for quick release to address specific product issues and should not be deployed to production environments without thorough testing. It is recommended to upgrade to a full-release or a Service Pack version of Reflection Desktop when it becomes available.
