Environment

Client for Open Enterprise Server 2 SP4 (IR7)
Client for Open Enterprise Server 2 SP4 (IR7a)

Situation

With write caching enabled ("File Caching" set to "Read and Write" in the Client Properties) in Client for Open Enterprise Server IR7/IR7a, when copying files to an OES volume with Windows Explorer (or XCOPY, etc.), the time stamp on the files is incorrectly set to the current time stamp.

Turning off write caching allows for the copy operation to apply the correct time stamp of the file being copied.

Resolution

Fixed in Client for Open Enterprise Server 2 SP4 (IR8) or later.
