ZENworks Configuration Management 2017 Installation - Server Appliance
Situation
- Initial graphical configuration screen (enter root and zenadmin credentials) completes
- Console switches to text screen, sticks at *** Starting YaST2 *** and nothing appears to happen
- Unable to log in to https://servername:9443
Resolution
Wait. This part of the process can potentially take up to an hour.
Cause
The migration process is running a number of scripts in the background.
Additional Information
It is possible to ssh in to the Appliance at this point and use a command such as top to monitor what is happening and be reassured that the server has not, in fact, hung or crashed.
