Migration fails at the Step Preparing Target Machine to Boot Operating System

PlateSpin Migrate 12.0 and up

Situation

A migration fails at the step Preparing Target Machine to Boot Operating System with the message ERROR: "Error running process /usr/bin/cabextract. Error = 259 Error Message =".

Resolution

On the PlateSpin server, go to http(s)://localhost/platespinconfigurtion in a web browser.
Search for the configuration setting DoNotReplaceSysFiles.
Change its value to True.

Cause

The error occurs when extracting cab files for ntkr* with a utility cabextract. To work around this problem, the configuration setting DoNotReplaceSysFiles should be changed to true so that these files won't be extracted and thus  replaced.
