Initial Migration Fails "The operation has timed out"

PlateSpin Migrate 12.0 and up

Situation

When running a first full migration from the web interface, the migration fails at RefreshingSourceMachine with the mesage ERROR: "The operation has timed out".

Resolution

On the PlateSpin server, go to http(s)://localhost/platespinconfigurtion in a web browser.
Search for the configuration setting EarliestWindowsVersionForCommonInventory.
Change its value to 6.4.
Save the change.
Retry the migration
