Situation
Issue: Perl process is taking up significant system resources
Resolution
Fix:
1) Download the Patch zip file - p751p101.zip
2) Extract the patch - p751p101.zip
3) Stop the "auditd" service using -
$ service auditd stop
4) Apply the patch using wcPatch utility or through UAM patchadd procedure - https://www.netiq.com/documentation/security-agent-for-unix-75/securityagentforunix751/data/b117wekw.html
5) Start the "auditd" service using the command-
service auditd start
6) Restart the agent services from installation bin path using the commands -
vigilentagent.rc restart
detectd.rc restart
Cause
Audit configuration close system call removed from configuration.
