INFOConnect Error: "PTRSrvc.exe - Application Error"

Environment

INFOConnect Print and Transaction Router version 8.1 SP1

Situation

Users receiving the following error when using the "net stop ptrservice" command to stop the Print and Transaction Router (PTR): "PTRSrvc.exe - Application Error. Instruction at '0x01eb3d86' referenced memory at '0x00000000'. Memory could not be 'read'."

Resolution

To bypass this error and stop the PTR, follow these steps.

  1. Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
  2. Select the PTR service, PTRSrvc.exe, and then click Action > Stop.
