INFOConnect Enterprise Edition version 9.0 or higher
Situation
When you configure an SSH session (for an OpenVMS, UNIX, or Asynchronous host), the following error message displays:
The selected component is invalid. Please select a different one.However, you can connect if you configure a Telnet session without SSH.
Resolution
To resolve this error, move the INFOConnect entries to the beginning
of the Windows search path. For example, edit your PATH environment variable to
look similar to the following:
PATH=C:\Program Files\Attachmate\INFOCNEE;C:\Program Files\Attachmate\INFOCNEE\AccMgr32;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS; ...To change your PATH, open Control Panel > All Control Panel Items (or Classic View) > System. On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
Cause
INFOConnect uses a different version of a particular DLL that is used
by another installed program, and the other program appears earlier in
the executable search path, so the wrong DLL version for INFOConnect is
used.
