Reflection for ReGIS Graphics version 13.0 through 14.x

Situation

This document explains the settings required to emulate Tektronix in the same style as the DOS EM 4010 DOS emulator.

Resolution

Configuring Reflection Settings

To emulate Tektronix in the same style as the DOS EM 4010 DOS emulator, configure the following four Reflection settings.

Follow the steps in the sections below to configure these settings.

VT640 Compatible

  1. On the Setup menu, click View Settings.
  2. In the Search field, type VT640.
  3. Select VT640 Compatible from the Reflection Settings list.
  4. Select the Yes radio button. (By default, VT640 Compatible is set to No.)
  5. Click OK to save this setting.

Tektronix Graphics Destructive Overwrite

  1. On the Setup menu, click View Settings.
  2. In the Search Field, type TEK.
  3. Select Tektronix Graphics Destructive Overwrite from the settings list.
  4. Select the Yes radio button. (By default, Destructive Overwrite is set to No.)
  5. Click OK to save this setting.

Tektronix Font Size Default

  1. On the Setup menu, click View Settings.
  2. In the Search Field, type TEK.
  3. Select Tektronix Font Size Default from the settings list.
  4. Select Medium Font Default from the drop-down list. (By default, Font Size Default is set to Large Font Default.)
  5. Click OK to save this setting.

Color #7

  1. On the Setup menu, click Display.
  2. On the Colors tab, click the Color Map button.
  3. Select color #7 by clicking the color box under the number 7.
  4. Drag the arrow up to the top of the luminosity bar to set the color to white. The #7 color box will change as you adjust the color.
  5. Click OK to save this setting.

You can now connect to your host or make other changes as needed. Before exiting Reflection, save your Reflection settings file.

Note: For ease of use, you can also create a desktop shortcut to your settings file when you save your settings file. Click File > Save as > Shortcut to access the shortcut dialog box.
