Reflection Security Gateway 2014 (All Editions)
Situation
This technical note lists browsers that are supported for use with Host Access Management and Security Server and its predecessor, Reflection Security Gateway.
Note the following:
- Your organization's security policies and local regulations may require specific versions.
- The Oracle Java plug-in for web browsers depends on the cross-platform plug-in architecture NPAPI. In September 2015, Google removed NPAPI support in Chrome version 45. For more information, see KB 7021593: Web Browser Java Plug-in Alternatives.
- Since Oracle Java 1.6.0_45 is the final public update to Oracle JRE 6, and there will be no public updates to Oracle Java 1.7 after April 2015, we recommend using the latest Oracle JRE 8 version.

** Older versions of Java may cause crashes or hangs when viewing sessions. Since there will be no public updates to Oracle Java 7 after April 2015, we recommend using the latest Oracle JRE 8 version.
Reflection Security Gateway 2014 R2 Supported Browsers and Java Virtual Machines
Management and Security Server uses a web browser to display web pages in the Administrative WebStation. The tables below show the minimum browser versions and Java requirements for your product version. However, we recommend using current versions of JRE.
Note: Reflection Security Gateway 2014 R2 requires Oracle JRE 7 or higher.
Reflection should be fully functional on browsers with the specified Java virtual machines shown in the table below. This table lists the minimum browser and JVM requirements for the product.

Reflection Security Gateway 2014 R1
Reflection Security Gateway 2014 R1 requires, at minimum, Oracle JRE 6.0 (also called version 1.6.0) or higher, but we highly recommend using the latest version.
Reflection should be fully functional on browsers with the specified Java virtual machines shown in the following table. This table lists the minimum browser and JVM requirements for the product.
