Resolution
Gwava's vs threads (scan threads) are configured in your MTA startup file (typically located in sys:\system on NetWare systems). Your MTA startup file usually will be a variation of your domain name with a .MTA extension. If you open this file with a text editor, you should see several switches at the bottom of the file that all begin with /vs. These are your GWAVA startup switches. In order to changes your threads, you'll want to changes the value of the /vsthread. By default, your MTA startup file should look something like this at the bottom:
;========================== END OF FILE ===============================
/vsaction-DISCARD
/vstype-MESSAGE
/vsnamevalue-MTASieve
/vsthread-16
/vscan-EXCLUDE
/vsdomain-DUMMY
The default setting is 16 threads. This setting will work fine for a majority of customers. Changes to this value should be done in small increments. If 16 threads isn't keeping up, then try 20 for a day.
After saving your changes, GWAVA and your MTA will need to be shut
down and restarted. Thread changes may or may not be noticeable right
away. Be patient.
Important: vs threads should never be increased to more than 32,
unless specifically directed to do so by GWAVA Technical Support
