Environment
GWAVA 3.x through 6.x.
Situation
GWAVA processing mail more slowly than normal.
Resolution
This is usually caused by Gwava doing RBL lookups. Assuming that there
are no problems with your network or your Internet connection, and the
RBL server is functioning correctly, the problem may be (1.) incorrect information in the server's resolve.cfg file (located in SYS:\ETC) or (2.) Gwava doesn't have enough DNS Lookup Threads.
FIX:
Both problems are easily solved.
1. Edit the resolve.cfg and make sure that the listed name servers are correct.
2. If this information is correct, check the Gwava Configuration Program under Advanced. Ensure that the DNS Lookup Thread Count is at least 8. If you have to edit to this setting, do a full MTA unload, nogwava, and restart to apply the change.
