GWAVA has stopped blocking messages

As of January 15 an issue was discovered with the .pem file in licenses on all gwava products.  The issue is that the license pem file was hardcoded to expire on Feb 5,  An email was sent out to all companies.  However we have been finding that alot of costumers were not aware of this.  After Feb 5 if your system goes down or is restarted it will recoginise the license as expired. When it expires it passes mail through but doesn't do any scanning.


Here are some instructions on how to download and install your updated license file:

To claim your downloadable license file:

Browser to

Enter the validation key (GWAVA license key): XXXXXXXX

Complete the registration form

Print the displayed License Certificate and download the PEM file.

To upload the PEM file to GWAVA

Login to the GWAVA Administration Console as administrator

Select the Server/Scanner Management tab on the Left hand side.

Open your server (click on the plus sign) 

click on server management


click on browse and locate your PEM file (where you downloaded it to previously),

click "Install".

Once completed you will see your License file "Installed" under the heading "Installed License Files".
