Self Service Password Reset 4.1 Appliance

Situation

Unable to access SSPR after updating to SSPR 4.1 patch 4
SSPR pages not reachable after updating from SSPR 4.1 to 4.1.0.4.
Connection times out or returns 404 error when attaching to https://<adress>/sspr   

Note that this problem only affects the Appliance installation of SSPR.  Linux and Windows installations are unaffected by updates to patch 4. 




Resolution

Workaround:
1) Go to SSPR Appliance Admin console at https://address:9443 and login.  
2) Select 'System Services'
3) Select 'SSPR Application'
4) Chose 'Restart' on the 'Action' pull down menu bar.

Additional Information

Steps to duplciate:
1. Download and Install SSPR 4.1 appliance  
2. Import configuration previously exported 
3. Verify that SSPR 4.1 can be accessed as expected.
4. Open the Appliance Admin UI and install the updates -  97 SUSE updates and 2 SSPR updates (including SSPR 4.1 patch 4).
5. Attempt to access main SSPR page at https:address/sspr.  Error 404 (page not found) will be returned, or connection will time out.
