iCAS
Situation
Is iCAS supported in Retain? If so, I do not see it listed on the storage engine drop-down list under Server Configuration | Storage.
Resolution
iCas is supported in 4.0. iCas is a storage agnostic software interface that sits between the server and the storage sub system. If the server can see the storage, then Retain will write to that storage natively in the same way it writes to any attached storage.
iCas comes as an appliance running on VMWare or as an installable software product.
To enable iCas support in Retain, you must go to Storage Manager and check the option, "Last Access Date":
