GWAVA 6 +
Running on Linux or Windows
There are usually updates everyday for the virus definitions. If you see one of these alerts, it is best to check the definition files themselves to see if they truly did not update. To do that do the following:
1) From a prompt change directories by typing: cd /opt/beginfinite/gwava/services/avdefIf they are the current date or the previous day, then you can ignore this alert. If however, the date is from a few days ago or longer then something must be blocking the connection preventing these from updating. Port 80 inbound and outbound need to be open for these updates.
2) Type: ll (two lowercase L's)
3) Look at the date on the two files ending in .def:
g6postgres109:/opt/beginfinite/gwava/services/avdef # ll
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 151279 May 7 08:19 aivsecon.def
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 66312050 May 7 08:19 antivir.def
