Environment

Reload (all versions)

Situation

How can I determine the version of the GroupWise installed on the Reload Server? How can I change the version of GroupWise installed on the Reload Server? Why doesn't Reload ship with all versions of GroupWise that Reload can back up? I have upgraded to GroupWise 2014 R2 and want Reload to have that same version, See: Reload 5 Support for GroupWise 2014 R2

Resolution

1. To find the version of GroupWise installed on the Reload Server type in the following command in a terminal session on the Reload Server:

rpm -qa | grep novell-groupwise

2. To change the version of GroupWise installed on the Reload Server you can take one of two actions:

a. In Reload Console Administration select System | GroupWise | Versionand change the version to the version of GroupWise that matches your live GroupWise system.

b. If the version of GroupWise software you want is not available, or the version of GroupWise that Reload installs is not the version you would like, then you should unistall GroupWise and install GroupWise manually.

c. There are additional steps you should take, See: Reload 5 Support for GroupWise 2014 R2

The reason Reload does not ship with all versions of GroupWise that Reload can back up is because the Reload Server RPM file would grow too large. Customers should manually download and install the appropriate version of GroupWise to their Reload Server that matches the version of GroupWise on their production servers.
