Filr Desktop and Mobile Devices fail to connect when fronted by Access Manager 4.3

When attempting to connect to Filr via the Filr Desktop or Filr Mobile Apps when Filr is fronted by Access Manager 4.3, the connection fails because the minimum version of the TLS that Access Manager 4.3 supports by default is higher than the TLS version that the Filr clients (Desktop and Mobile) support.


A fix for this issue is available in the Filr 3.2 Update. With the fix in place, Filr Desktop and Mobile Apps support TLSv1.2 which will work with the defaults in Access Manager 4.3.

If you're unable to update to Filr 3.2, use the following workaround:
  1. Log in to the Access Manager server.
  2. Navigate to Devices > Access Gateways > [Name of the Access Gateway Server] > Edit > Advanced Options.
  3. Change SSLProtocol TLSv1.1 +TLSv1.2 to SSLProtocol TLSv1.1 +TLSv1.2 +TLSv1.
  4. To apply your changes, click Devices > Access Gateways, then click Update All.
