Environment

GWAVA 4 Netware and Linux

Situation

Where does the AUTOBLOCKER store the MIME.822 files after learning?

Resolution

The SPAM/HAM feeders and the Auto HAM/SPAM feeders rely on MIME.822 files in order to learn and update the dictionary files. As the feeders learn, GWAVA4 will have the capability to use a more sophisticated/advanced spam engine. These MIME.822 files/messages will automatically be stored in this location: GWAVA4/services/autoblocker/corpus/<scanner id>/HAM GWAVA4/services/autoblocker/corpus/<scanner id>/SPAM You may view these messages at any time, however, keep in mind that we only keep up to 10,000 spam files and up to 5,000 ham files. Deleting or moving these files from these locations will not affect the already existing dictionary files. Note: If you have had multiple scanners you'll have multiple <scanner id> folders. To find out which folder correlates to the scanner you are trying to repair, open GWAVAMAN (<IP>:49282) in your web browser, and in the system management section select advanced, and then under system tools select scanner object map.
