Environment

GWAVA SMTP Appliance

Situation

I need to change the time / timezone on my GWAVA SMTP Appliance?

Resolution

Changing the time / timezone is simple to do on your Appliance. There are a number of scripts that are run at the time you set up your system, such as the script which handles the time and timezone setup. These scripts can be run again at any time. The scripts are located under /opt/beginfinite/gwava/assets/scripts. To reach that directory, use the following command: GSMTP:~ # cd /opt/beginfinite/gwava/assets/scripts/ To run the script that sets the time and timezone, use the following command: GSMTP:/opt/beginfinite/gwava/assets/scripts # ./set_time.sh The script will then load and you can follow the instructions to set the time / timezone. This is the preferred method of changing these settings. These settings could also be changed though YaST or with the date command.
