Unable to Change GroupWise Version

Situation

I have tried changing the GroupWise version that Reload uses, as laid out in the article How to change the GroupWise version in Reload. However, when I check the version numbers, they haven’t changed. How can I fix this?

Resolution

If you are attempting to change GroupWise versions via Reload and you are unsuccessful, then the most likely reason why Reload failed to make the change is because GroupWise has already been installed separately on the system. This usually happens when you install a GWIA on the system in cases of disaster recovery. Reload will not make changes to an existing GroupWise system since it does not use all of the GroupWise components. If this is the case, then you will need to update GroupWise manually. The Reload option won’t work in that environment.
