Nothing happens after trying to log in to the GroupWise system

Environment

Reveal (Any build)

Situation

After clicking 'Connect to GW system' and typing in the default password nothing happens. You can continue to press 'Login' again and again and Reveal does not seem to respond.

Resolution

1) Check the debug log
If you haven't enabled the debug log already, please follow the instructions found here. After turning on the logging check the debug log after trying to log in again.

The following lines should appear in the log.
10/23/2008 11:22:10 AM Password is empty, trying to write default password
10/23/2008 11:22:10 AM Something went wrong in checking the password. No write-rights to reveal.ini?
2) Check permissions of the user logged in to the Novell Client
The user that is logged in to the Novell Client must have admin rights to the domain directory in order for Reveal to work properly. If the user logged in to the Novell Client doesn't have sufficient rights to the GroupWise domain directory then that user should be assigned additional privileges.

Otherwise, please log out of the Novell Client and log back in as the admin user or someone who has the necessary rights.
